Kids tennis is divided in five different levels. Each level has its own adapted court and/or balls. The goal of kids tennis is to have fun with attention for the quality.
The five different levels:
Age: between 3 and 5 years old
Goal: Stimulating the general motor development by conducting exercises with and without racquet like throwing, catching, rolling, stopping, starting, turning, jumping…
Age: Between 5 and 7 years old (also depends on the skills of the child)
Goal: Gaining the first experiences in playing real matches, introducing the basic strokes of tennis and improving the general coordination.
Age: between 7 and 9 years old (also depends of the skills of the child)
Goal: The movements become bigger: you learn how to prepare your strokes and how to swing, coordination, lots of playing and having fun and the first experiences in playing real matches.
Age: between 9 and 10 years old (also depends of the skills of the child)
Goal: Tactics become more important: you learn how to play deep and wide, you learn how to start the point with an overarm service, doubles will be given a chance, stamina and a lot of playing and fun.
Age: between 10 and 12 years old
Goal: Refining the strokes, using tactics, scoring, wrecking, starting the point strong with the overarm service and return, stamina and mental skills.
